The question underneath all of them
“Which HVAC company is a real local business in Seminole, not a call center or a company near Orlando?” Answers sorted real Seminole companies from templated lead pages and from Seminole County, near Orlando, then told customers to check the license and fees.
What your Seminole HVAC page has to explain
Seminole shares its name with Seminole County, near Orlando. Many answers warned that search results mixed in companies from that county and dropped them. Some reminded the customer that Seminole, FL sits in Pinellas County near Largo and St. Petersburg. A Seminole HVAC page should leave no doubt. It should say Seminole, Pinellas County, and name 33772, 33776 and 33777.
The second filter was lead pages. Assistants often skipped sites that repeat the same page for many towns, list a toll-free number and show no street address. They said such sites may pass the customer to a call center. They favored companies they could tie to a Seminole address, or to a nearby base in Largo or Pinellas Park. The page should show who does the work and where the business is.
The questions covered a wide spread of jobs, from AC tune-ups and heat pump repair to boilers, geothermal systems and swamp coolers. For the rarer jobs, assistants often said they could not find a Seminole company that advertised the work. For tune-ups, they told customers to ask what the visit includes and what it costs. A page that names each job, and says which ones the company does not take, helps here.

We read all 1,313 answers to see what the assistants looked for before naming a company for HVAC work in Seminole, FL, what they told the customer to ask, and what they said they couldn’t find.
What the assistants told customers to ask

Ask the company for its exact legal business name, qualifier name, and HVAC license number.
Is the company based in Seminole or close by?

20% of the answers (268 of 1,313) brought this up.
Their page doesn't explicitly list 33772, so ask whether they cover it when you call.

Its site lists no phone number that I could see, so verify it's a real local business before booking.
What the assistants couldn’t find
In 197 of the 1,313 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 192 of its 455, ChatGPT in 5 of its 545 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 313. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:
- A phone number or other way to reach the company: 122 answers
- Reviews it could check: 44 answers
- When the company could do the work: 24 answers
- Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 23 answers
- A license or insurance it could check: 19 answers
- A price or how the job is priced: 15 answers
Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 192 of its 455 answers about Seminole (42%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Seminole in 23 (5%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 39% and 4% for HVAC.
Seminole is one of the largest research towns, and its HVAC gaps look like the rest of that group. Phone numbers were missing most often, then reviews and who could come out soon. A Seminole page that shows one number, current reviews and a clear local address answers what assistants most often could not confirm.
I didn't find phone numbers for these in the search results.
Where the assistants sent people
Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 1,000 ChatGPT and Claude answers about HVAC work in Seminole, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:
- A contractor’s own website: 94% (942 answers)
- A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 60% (595 answers)
- A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 9% (89 answers)
- An official license lookup: 8% (81 answers)
- A Google search or Maps page: under 1% (1 answer)
A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.
Google AI Mode works differently. In 79% of its 313 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings
For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?
Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.
We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask
Why do AI assistants confuse Seminole, FL with Seminole County?
Search results for Seminole often mix in companies from Seminole County, near Orlando. Many answers about Seminole caught this and dropped those companies. A page that says Seminole, Pinellas County, and lists 33772 makes clear which Seminole you serve.
Will my HVAC company look like a lead page to an AI assistant?
Answers about Seminole skipped sites that repeat the same page for many towns, use a toll-free number and show no address. If your page shows your business name, license number, a local phone number and where you are based, it does not look like those sites.
Should my Seminole page list jobs we don’t do?
It can help. People here asked about boilers, geothermal systems and swamp coolers as well as AC and heat pumps. Assistants often could not tell who did the rarer jobs. Saying which systems you service, and which you do not, gives a clear answer.
Which AI assistants did you test?
ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode. Between September 2 and October 14, 2026, they answered 1,313 questions about HVAC work in Seminole, FL: ChatGPT 545, Claude 455, Google AI Mode 313.
Will these changes guarantee a recommendation?
No. Nobody can promise that. These changes supply what the assistants were looking for in our research. Whether they move recommendations for your business is something to measure after they go live.
How we got these numbers
The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 1,313 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between September 2 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Seminole or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.
The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
