The question underneath all of them
“Who near New Port Richey will come to my address and give me a straight quote?” Every question recorded for New Port Richey was about HVAC work, and answers checked where each company was based and what jobs it listed.
What your New Port Richey page has to explain
So far the research holds only HVAC questions for New Port Richey, and not many of them. Plumbing, electrical and roofing were not asked here. Most of what the answers checked was about the company and its page, not the equipment, so owners in other trades can still learn from it.
Assistants sorted the companies they found by where they were based. Some had an address in town or on a main road nearby. Others were in Hudson, Tampa or Largo, and answers told customers to ask whether they would travel to 34653. A New Port Richey page should say where the company is based and name the ZIP codes it covers.
Answers often noticed when a company's page described one kind of work but not the job asked about. A page about central air did not show that a company installs mini-splits or purifiers. Assistants also mentioned when a company offered free estimates. A town page should list the jobs done in New Port Richey and say how a visit is priced.
What the assistants looked for before recommending anyone
We read all 30 answers to see what the assistants looked for before naming a company for home services in New Port Richey, FL, what they told the customer to ask, and what they said they couldn’t find.
What the assistants told customers to ask
Most common first:
Is the company in New Port Richey or coming from another town?
Answers often said where each company was located, in town or in Hudson, Tampa or Largo. For the ones farther away, they told customers to ask whether the company would come to their ZIP code.
53% of the answers (16 of 30) brought this up.
The results didn't show its service area or reviews, so confirm it covers your area.
Will the customer get the price in writing, item by item?
Assistants told customers to get a written quote that listed each part of the job. They named items such as the equipment model, later filter costs, disposal and any electrical work.
47% of the answers (14 of 30) brought this up.
Ask for a written quote specifying the purifier model, airflow/static-pressure test, filter replacement cost, warranty, and whether duct or electrical modifications are included.
Is the estimate visit free?
Several answers pointed out which companies offered free estimates or free on-site evaluations. It was one of the few pricing details they could find on a company's page.
40% of the answers (12 of 30) brought this up.
Can a New Port Richey customer verify the license?
Answers told customers to check the contractor's Florida license on the state DBPR lookup. They also told them to ask for proof of liability insurance before any work began.
37% of the answers (11 of 30) brought this up.
Check the contractor's Florida license on the state DBPR lookup, and ask for proof of liability insurance.
Does the page list the job, not just the trade?
Many answers found a company's page that covered the trade in general but not the job asked about. They told customers to ask before booking, and treated those companies as leads rather than picks.
20% of the answers (6 of 30) brought this up.
Ask how many mini-split installations they do, because some of these firms mostly do ducted systems.
What the assistants couldn’t find
In 9 of the 30 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 9 of its 12, ChatGPT in 0 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 6. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:
- A phone number or other way to reach the company: 5 answers
- Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 3 answers
Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 9 of its 12 answers about New Port Richey (75%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served New Port Richey in 3 (25%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 40% and 4%.
In this sample, assistants most often could not find a phone number, and sometimes could not confirm a company served the town. A New Port Richey page with a working number, the ZIP codes served and the jobs done there answers both.
I couldn't find a company that clearly serves 34653 for mini-splits, so these are leads to check, not verified picks.
Where the assistants sent people
Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about home services in New Port Richey, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:
- A contractor’s own website: 96% (23 answers)
- A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 54% (13 answers)
- A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 46% (11 answers)
- An official license lookup: 4% (1 answer)
A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.
Google AI Mode works differently. In 67% of its 6 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings
For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?
Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.
We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask
What should a New Port Richey contractor's town page say?
Answers here looked for where a company is based, whether it serves 34653, whether it does the specific job and how the visit is priced. State each plainly, list your Florida license and give a working phone number that matches your Google listing.
My company works out of Tampa. Is a New Port Richey page worth having?
If you work there, it can help. Answers named Tampa and Largo companies for New Port Richey jobs, then told customers to ask whether they would travel to 34653. A page that names the town and says how far you come answers that first.
Why does the New Port Richey research only cover HVAC?
The questions recorded for New Port Richey so far were all about HVAC jobs. The checks assistants made were about the company, such as where it is based and what it lists. Owners in other trades can still use them.

Will these changes guarantee a recommendation?
No. Nobody can promise that. These changes supply what the assistants were looking for in our research. Whether they move recommendations for your business is something to measure after they go live.
How we got these numbers
The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 30 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named New Port Richey or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.
The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
