The questions covered eight specific jobs. The most asked here, each with its own post:

The question underneath all of them

“Who will do this HVAC job in Bayonet Point, and will they put the price in writing?” Many answers treated 34667 as Hudson, then told customers to confirm Bayonet Point was served and to get written, itemized quotes.

What your Bayonet Point HVAC page has to explain

The Bayonet Point sample is small, so read it as a first look. Questions here usually gave the ZIP code 34667, and many answers took that to mean Hudson. They then named Hudson and Port Richey companies, and some said none of the listings confirmed Bayonet Point. Claude said it could not confirm anyone served the town more often than in the large research towns.

Commercial repair was one of the jobs asked most here, and it split the answers. Assistants often found a well-reviewed company whose pages were aimed at homes. They then told the customer to ask whether it works on rooftop units, split systems or chillers. A Bayonet Point HVAC page should say plainly whether it takes commercial calls and which equipment it services.

For installs such as ductwork and mini-splits, answers asked for more than a price. They wanted a written quote that named the equipment, the line set, electrical work, the permit and the warranty. Several also told customers to ask for a load calculation and whether the company designs new ducts or only repairs old ones. Many companies advertised free estimates, which assistants noted.

By assistant: Claude in 12 of its 12, ChatGPT in 1 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 6. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:

  • A phone number or other way to reach the company: 10 answers
  • Reviews it could check: 4 answers
  • Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 4 answers

Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 12 of its 12 answers about Bayonet Point (100%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Bayonet Point in 4 (33%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 39% and 4% for HVAC.

In Bayonet Point, assistants most often could not find a phone number they trusted, and several left numbers out. They also could not always confirm anyone served the town rather than Hudson. A page that names Bayonet Point, gives a working number and says which jobs it takes answers both.

I didn't find reliable phone numbers, so I haven't listed any.

— Claude, asked “Ductless mini-split installation near me — I'm in Bayonet Point, FL. Who do you recommend?”, October 13, 2026

Where the assistants sent people

Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about HVAC work in Bayonet Point, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:

  • A contractor’s own website: 100% (24 answers)
  • A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 50% (12 answers)
  • A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 42% (10 answers)
  • A Google search or Maps page: 4% (1 answer)
  • An official license lookup: 4% (1 answer)

A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.

Google AI Mode works differently. In 50% of its 6 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings

For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?

Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.

We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask

Should my Bayonet Point HVAC page mention Hudson?

How we got these numbers

The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 30 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Bayonet Point or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.

The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
