The questions covered 41 specific jobs. The most asked here, each with its own post:

The question underneath all of them

“Which plumber can come to my Seminole house, find the problem and tell me the price first?” Answers asked Seminole plumbers for the service-call fee, a camera or leak-detection report, and a license number before naming them.

What your Seminole plumbing page has to explain

Seminole plumbing questions covered everyday repairs and bigger jobs: drain cleaning, toilets, slab leaks, sewer lines and septic tanks. Answers treated finding the problem as its own step. For sewer lines they asked for a camera inspection with video. For slab leaks they asked whether the company uses acoustic or thermal tools and gives a written report that an insurer could use.

Septic work drew its own advice. Assistants told customers to ask for the full pump-out price, whether uncovering the lids costs extra and whether the tank is checked during the visit. Some said septic repairs usually need a Florida health department permit. A plumber that does septic work in Seminole should say so, and explain how the price is set.

Local bodies came up too. Some answers pointed customers to Pinellas County Utilities to learn whether a leak was on the utility’s side of the meter. Others warned that searches mixed in Seminole County, near Orlando. A Seminole plumbing page should name Pinellas County and the ZIP codes 33772, 33776 and 33777.

What the assistants couldn’t find

In 266 of the 1,636 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 252 of its 566, ChatGPT in 13 of its 677 and Google AI Mode in 1 of its 393. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:

  • A phone number or other way to reach the company: 135 answers
  • Reviews it could check: 89 answers
  • When the company could do the work: 43 answers
  • A license or insurance it could check: 33 answers
  • A price or how the job is priced: 30 answers
  • Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 23 answers

Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 252 of its 566 answers about Seminole (45%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Seminole in 23 (4%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 40% and 4% for plumbing.

What assistants could not find for Seminole plumbers matches the other large towns: first a phone number, then reviews, then who could come out soon. A page with one working number, current reviews and a plain statement of how soon you arrive covers them.

I don't have current reviews or pricing, and I haven't confirmed that any of them have openings this month.

— Claude, asked “Looking for someone to do toilet repair in Seminole, FL sometime this month. Any recommendations?”, September 19, 2026

Where the assistants sent people

Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 1,243 ChatGPT and Claude answers about plumbing work in Seminole, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:

  • A contractor’s own website: 95% (1,187 answers)
  • A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 61% (754 answers)
  • A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 7% (92 answers)
  • An official license lookup: 5% (65 answers)
  • A Google search or Maps page: under 1% (2 answers)

A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.

Google AI Mode works differently. In 78% of its 393 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

  2. Give your street address, or the town you work from, and say that you cover Seminole.
  3. Show your Florida plumbing license number with a link to the DBPR lookup, and name the insurance you carry.
  4. Describe how you find slab leaks, whether you also repair them, and the report the customer gets.
  5. State your service-call or trip fee for Seminole and say whether it comes off the repair price.
  6. Explain what your camera inspection includes, what the customer receives and whether its fee counts toward the repair.

  9. List a single Seminole plumbing number, the same one your Google listing shows.
  10. Link to your Google reviews and point to recent ones from Seminole jobs.

Going further: let assistants see real openings

For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?

Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.

We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask

Should my Seminole plumbing page list a service-call fee?

It helps. Assistants rarely found a fee and told customers to ask for it, along with whether it comes off the repair. Stating the fee, or how it is set, answers one of the first questions customers were told to ask.

What should a Seminole plumber say about leak detection?

Say how you find the leak, whether you also repair it, and what report the customer gets. Answers about slab leaks told customers to ask about non-invasive tools and a written report they could give an insurer.

Does a Seminole plumbing page need to mention Pinellas County?

It helps. Some answers warned that searches for Seminole mixed in Seminole County, near Orlando. Others pointed customers to Pinellas County Utilities for leaks near the meter. Naming Pinellas County and your Seminole ZIP codes makes the right area clear.

Which AI assistants did you test?

ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode. Between September 2 and October 14, 2026, they answered 1,636 questions about plumbing work in Seminole, FL: ChatGPT 677, Claude 566, Google AI Mode 393.

Will these changes guarantee a recommendation?

No. Nobody can promise that. These changes supply what the assistants were looking for in our research. Whether they move recommendations for your business is something to measure after they go live.

How we got these numbers

The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 1,636 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between September 2 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Seminole or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.

The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
