What people actually asked

We asked 17 different questions here between October 9 and October 14, 2026. These are the six asked most, word for word, with how many of the 29 answers each produced:

  • “Air purifier installation near me — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who do you recommend?”2 answers
  • “I need commercial HVAC repair tomorrow morning — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who can actually come out?”2 answers
  • “I'm looking to get duct installation done in 34607 before the end of the month. Who should I get quotes from?”2 answers
  • “Looking for someone to do air purifier installation in Aripeka, FL before the end of the month. Any recommendations?”2 answers
  • “Who should I call for commercial HVAC repair in Aripeka, FL?”2 answers
  • “Who should I call for ductless mini-split installation in 34607?”2 answers

The other 11 questions asked for other jobs or worded the request differently. All 29 answers were about Aripeka, in Pasco County (ZIP codes 34607 and 34679). By assistant: ChatGPT 12, Claude 12 and Google AI Mode 5.

The questions covered eight specific jobs. The most asked here, each with its own post:

The question underneath all of them

“Will anyone from the towns around Aripeka come out here, and how do I reach them?” In the heating and cooling questions asked so far, assistants often found no contractor that named Aripeka and pointed to Spring Hill and Hudson instead.

What your Aripeka page has to explain

No plumbing, electrical or roofing questions have been asked about Aripeka yet, so this post draws only on HVAC answers. Most of what those answers looked for belongs to the town page rather than to one trade. Before naming anyone, assistants checked whether a contractor listed Aripeka, how to reach it and whether its reviews could be trusted.

Claude said it could not confirm anyone served Aripeka far more often than in the large research towns. Answers described the town as a small community on the line between Hernando and Pasco counties. They looked to Spring Hill, Hudson, Brooksville and New Port Richey, and called the contractors there the best leads they had rather than sure picks.

A contractor that already works in Aripeka has little competition on the page itself. The answers show what would have helped. That means the town’s name in the service-area list, its ZIP codes 34679 and 34607, the crew’s base town and a working phone number. Answers often said they could not find these.

What the assistants looked for before recommending anyone

We read all 29 answers to see what the assistants looked for before naming a company for home services in Aripeka, FL, what they told the customer to ask, and what they said they couldn’t find.

What the assistants told customers to ask

Most common first:

Which nearby town does the crew come from?

Most of the contractors named were based in Spring Hill, Hudson, Brooksville or New Port Richey. Answers told customers to ask each one whether it would make the drive to Aripeka.

86% of the answers (25 of 29) brought this up.

Can the customer look up the license?

Assistants told customers to ask for the Florida license number, check it on the DBPR lookup and ask for proof of insurance. For ventilation work, some also asked whether the contractor held the right Florida license.

52% of the answers (15 of 29) brought this up.

Does the contractor do this particular job?

Even when a nearby contractor came up, assistants often could not confirm it did the work asked for. They passed the question to the customer to ask on the phone.

38% of the answers (11 of 29) brought this up.

These nearby companies are the best leads, and I couldn't confirm that any of them does duct installation, so ask each one before you book.

— Claude, asked “Who should I call for duct installation in Aripeka, FL?”, October 9, 2026

Does any contractor list Aripeka by name?

Assistants searched for a contractor based in Aripeka or listing it as a service area, and often found none. Answers often led with the few pages that did name Aripeka.

28% of the answers (8 of 29) brought this up.

I couldn't find a commercial HVAC company that lists Aripeka itself as a service area.

— Claude, asked “Who should I call for commercial HVAC repair in Aripeka, FL?”, October 11, 2026

Are there reviews someone else wrote?

Answers often said they could not verify independent reviews for anyone near Aripeka. They treated an award or testimonial on a contractor’s own site as something other than a review.

17% of the answers (5 of 29) brought this up.

I couldn't find a duct installer based in Aripeka itself, and I can't vouch for quality because I couldn't verify independent reviews.

— Claude, asked “Duct installation near me — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who do you recommend?”, October 10, 2026

What the assistants couldn’t find

In 12 of the 29 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 12 of its 12, ChatGPT in 0 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 5. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:

  • A phone number or other way to reach the company: 11 answers
  • Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 6 answers

Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 12 of its 12 answers about Aripeka (100%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Aripeka in 6 (50%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 40% and 4%.

For a contractor that works in Aripeka, this is an opening. Assistants often could not confirm anyone served the town, and the phone number was what they most often lacked. An Aripeka page that names the town, its ZIP codes and a working number fills both gaps, whatever the trade.

I didn't verify phone numbers for most of these, so check each company's website for current contact details.

— Claude, asked “I'm looking to get duct installation done in 34607 before the end of the month. Who should I get quotes from?”, October 11, 2026

Where the assistants sent people

Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about home services in Aripeka, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:

  • A contractor’s own website: 100% (24 answers)
  • A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 25% (6 answers)
  • A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 21% (5 answers)
  • An official license lookup: 8% (2 answers)
  • A Google search or Maps page: 4% (1 answer)

A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.

Google AI Mode works differently. In 100% of its 5 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings

For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?

Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.

We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask

What should a contractor’s Aripeka page say?

Answers about Aripeka looked for the town’s name in a service-area list, its ZIP codes, the town the crew comes from and a phone number. Answers often said these were missing. Add each one, along with your Florida license number and a link to the state lookup.

Were plumbing, electrical or roofing jobs asked about in Aripeka?

Not yet. Every question about Aripeka so far was a heating and cooling job. What the answers lacked, though, was mostly about the town page: the town’s name, its ZIP codes and a working number. Those apply to any trade you do here.

Is Aripeka in Pasco or Hernando County?

Several answers described Aripeka as sitting on the line between the two counties. Some read 34607 as a Hernando County ZIP code tied to Spring Hill. Naming the town and both ZIP codes on your page avoids leaving the customer to work it out.

Which AI assistants did you test?

ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode. Between October 9 and October 14, 2026, they answered 29 questions about home services in Aripeka, FL: ChatGPT 12, Claude 12, Google AI Mode 5.

Will these changes guarantee a recommendation?

No. Nobody can promise that. These changes supply what the assistants were looking for in our research. Whether they move recommendations for your business is something to measure after they go live.

How we got these numbers

The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 29 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Aripeka or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.

The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
