What people actually asked

We asked 17 different questions here between October 9 and October 14, 2026. These are the six asked most, word for word, with how many of the 29 answers each produced:

  • “Air purifier installation near me — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who do you recommend?”2 answers
  • “I need commercial HVAC repair tomorrow morning — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who can actually come out?”2 answers
  • “I'm looking to get duct installation done in 34607 before the end of the month. Who should I get quotes from?”2 answers
  • “Looking for someone to do air purifier installation in Aripeka, FL before the end of the month. Any recommendations?”2 answers
  • “Who should I call for commercial HVAC repair in Aripeka, FL?”2 answers
  • “Who should I call for ductless mini-split installation in 34607?”2 answers

The other 11 questions asked for other jobs or worded the request differently. All 29 answers were about Aripeka, in Pasco County (ZIP codes 34607 and 34679). By assistant: ChatGPT 12, Claude 12 and Google AI Mode 5.

The questions covered eight specific jobs. The most asked here, each with its own post:

The question underneath all of them

“Does any HVAC company from Spring Hill or Hudson actually come out to Aripeka?” Assistants often found no HVAC company that named Aripeka, so they pointed to Spring Hill, Hudson and Brooksville and told customers to ask.

What your Aripeka HVAC page has to explain

The Aripeka sample is small, so treat it as a first look. Several answers described Aripeka as a small coastal community on the Hernando and Pasco county line. With little that named the town, assistants searched the towns around it. Spring Hill, Hudson and Brooksville came up most, and the answers called these companies leads rather than confirmed choices.

ZIP codes added to the confusion. Some answers read 34607 as a Spring Hill ZIP code in Hernando County, and found no one listed for it. Aripeka’s own ZIP code, 34679, rarely came up in the answers at all. An HVAC company that drives to Aripeka can settle this by naming the town and both ZIP codes, and saying where its crews come from.

The jobs asked here were installs and commercial repair: new ductwork, mini-splits, air purifiers, ventilation and thermostats. Assistants often found a nearby company that did HVAC work but not the install asked for. They told customers to ask whether it puts in new duct runs rather than only cleaning or sealing old ones. An Aripeka page should say which of these jobs the company takes.

What the assistants looked for before recommending anyone

We read all 29 answers to see what the assistants looked for before naming a company for HVAC work in Aripeka, FL, what they told the customer to ask, and what they said they couldn’t find.

What the assistants told customers to ask

Most common first:

Will a company from Spring Hill or Hudson drive to Aripeka?

Most answers named companies based in Spring Hill, Hudson or Brooksville, because few named Aripeka. Assistants told customers to ask whether the company would come to Aripeka and whether it charged a travel fee.

86% of the answers (25 of 29) brought this up.

I couldn't confirm that it serves your area, so ask before you count on it.

— Claude, asked “I'm looking to get ductless mini-split installation done in Aripeka, FL 34607 next month. Who should I get quotes from?”, October 14, 2026

Will the quote be itemized, with sizing and the permit?

For installs, assistants told customers to get a written, itemized quote. They wanted it to include a load or duct sizing calculation, the permit, electrical work and the warranty on parts and labor.

48% of the answers (14 of 29) brought this up.

Can an Aripeka customer check the license alone?

Answers told customers to ask for the Florida HVAC license number, look it up on the DBPR site and ask for proof of insurance. With few companies confirmed for Aripeka, this was something a customer could check alone.

45% of the answers (13 of 29) brought this up.

Check the contractor's license on the Florida DBPR license lookup, and ask for proof of insurance.

— Claude, asked “Commercial HVAC repair near me — I'm in Aripeka, FL 34607. Who do you recommend?”, October 12, 2026

Answers often found a company page about repair, cleaning or maintenance that said nothing about new ductwork, purifiers or ventilation. Assistants then told the customer to ask before booking.

24% of the answers (7 of 29) brought this up.

Its page doesn't mention ductwork, so confirm that first.

— Claude, asked “Duct installation near me — I'm in Aripeka, FL. Who do you recommend?”, October 10, 2026

What the assistants couldn’t find

In 12 of the 29 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 12 of its 12, ChatGPT in 0 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 5. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:

  • A phone number or other way to reach the company: 11 answers
  • Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 6 answers

Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 12 of its 12 answers about Aripeka (100%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Aripeka in 6 (50%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 39% and 4% for HVAC.

For an HVAC company that serves Aripeka, this is an opening. Assistants often could not confirm anyone came out to the town, and a phone number was the thing they most often lacked. A page that names Aripeka and its ZIP codes, gives a working number and lists the installs done there answers both.

I couldn't find anyone based in Aripeka, and none of the listings I found showed a phone number or confirmed that they install air purifiers.

— Claude, asked “Looking for someone to do air purifier installation in Aripeka, FL before the end of the month. Any recommendations?”, October 10, 2026

Where the assistants sent people

Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about HVAC work in Aripeka, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:

  • A contractor’s own website: 100% (24 answers)
  • A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 25% (6 answers)
  • A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 21% (5 answers)
  • An official license lookup: 8% (2 answers)
  • A Google search or Maps page: 4% (1 answer)

A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.

Google AI Mode works differently. In 100% of its 5 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings

For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?

Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.

We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

How we got these numbers

The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 29 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Aripeka or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.

The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
