The question underneath all of them
“Which HVAC company serving Holiday is licensed and worth getting a written quote from?” Assistants found HVAC companies that served Holiday, but often could not confirm their Florida license, independent reviews or phone number.
What your Holiday HVAC page has to explain
The Holiday sample is small, so read it as an early look. In it, no answer said it could not find anyone serving Holiday. Some companies even had a Holiday page. Others listed nearby towns such as New Port Richey but not Holiday, and assistants told customers to ask. Coverage was not where these answers got stuck.
Trust was. Assistants said much of what they found came from directory listings and company-written press releases. A directory might mark a company as a verified pro, but the answer still could not confirm its license, reviews or experience with the job. Customers were often told to get the Florida license number and look it up on the state DBPR site.
Written quotes came up often too. For ductwork, answers listed duct sizing, insulation, sealing, permits and removal of old ducts. For mini-splits, they added electrical work, the condensate drain and startup testing. For purifiers, they asked about ozone and yearly upkeep. A Holiday HVAC page should say what its written quote covers for each job.
What the assistants looked for before recommending anyone
We read all 30 answers to see what the assistants looked for before naming a company for HVAC work in Holiday, FL, what they told the customer to ask, and what they said they couldn’t find.
What the assistants told customers to ask
Most common first:
What does the written quote include?
Assistants told customers to get written quotes from more than one company and compare what each covered. For ductwork that meant sizing, insulation, sealing, permits and disposal of the old ducts.
57% of the answers (17 of 30) brought this up.
Ask for a written estimate that includes duct sizing, insulation, sealing, permits, and disposal of old ductwork.
Can the customer look up the Florida license?
Many Holiday answers told customers to get the contractor’s Florida license number and check it on the state DBPR lookup. Several said they could not confirm licenses themselves for the companies they named.
50% of the answers (15 of 30) brought this up.

Are the equipment and labor warranties in writing?
Assistants told Holiday customers to ask about warranties on both the equipment and the labor, and to get the terms in writing. For purifiers, they also asked whether the unit produces ozone and what yearly upkeep costs.
37% of the answers (11 of 30) brought this up.
Ask about warranties on both the equipment and the labor.
Does the company do this kind of job regularly?
Assistants often named a company known for AC service or duct cleaning, then told customers to ask whether it does new ductwork, mini-splits or commercial repair regularly.

Ask each one whether they install ductless systems regularly.
Will the company visit and size the job before quoting?

20% of the answers (6 of 30) brought this up.
Ask whether they do a site visit and load calculation before quoting.
What the assistants couldn’t find
In 11 of the 30 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 11 of its 12, ChatGPT in 0 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 6. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:
- A phone number or other way to reach the company: 9 answers
- Reviews it could check: 6 answers
- A license or insurance it could check: 3 answers
Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 11 of its 12 answers about Holiday (92%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Holiday in 0 (0%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 39% and 4% for HVAC.
In Holiday, assistants did not struggle to find someone serving the town. They most often could not find a phone number, and often could not confirm reviews or a license. A Holiday HVAC page can answer all three with a working number, links to reviews and a checkable license number.
Most of the information comes from company-written press releases and directory listings, so I couldn't confirm licensing or independent reviews for any of them.
Where the assistants sent people
Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about HVAC work in Holiday, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:
- A contractor’s own website: 100% (24 answers)
- A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 50% (12 answers)
- A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 21% (5 answers)
A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.
Google AI Mode works differently. In 83% of its 6 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings
For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?
Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.
We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

How we got these numbers
The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 30 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Holiday or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.
The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
