The question underneath all of them
“Which HVAC company that covers Oldsmar does this install, and what will the written quote include?” Answers relied on HVAC companies' Oldsmar pages, then told customers to compare written quotes and confirm the company did the specific install.
What your Oldsmar HVAC page has to explain
The Oldsmar HVAC sample is small, so treat it as a first look. Assistants rarely said no one served Oldsmar. Instead they leaned on companies whose own page named Oldsmar or 34677. When one answer found an Oldsmar page that only covered general HVAC work, it told the customer to ask whether the company installed purifiers.
Written quotes came up more often in these answers than in HVAC answers elsewhere. For new ducts, assistants wanted the written scope to cover duct sizing, sealing, insulation, permits and a leak or pressure test. For mini-splits and purifiers, they asked how the company sizes the system and what filters or lamps cost later. An Oldsmar HVAC page should say what its written quote lists.
Commercial repair was one of the jobs asked here. Assistants told business owners to confirm the company works on their equipment, such as rooftop units, split systems or refrigeration. They also told them to ask for a firm arrival window and the after-hours rate. A page that takes commercial calls in Oldsmar should say which equipment it services.

By assistant: Claude in 12 of its 12, ChatGPT in 0 of its 12 and Google AI Mode in 0 of its 6. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:
- A phone number or other way to reach the company: 8 answers
Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 12 of its 12 answers about Oldsmar (100%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Oldsmar in 2 (17%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 39% and 4% for HVAC.

The searches didn't turn up a ductless installer I can confirm is based in Oldsmar with solid reviews, so treat the names below as places to start, not recommendations.
Where the assistants sent people
Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 24 ChatGPT and Claude answers about HVAC work in Oldsmar, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:
- A contractor’s own website: 88% (21 answers)
- A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 46% (11 answers)
- An official license lookup: 21% (5 answers)
A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read. ChatGPT linked a contractor’s own site in 100% of its answers, Claude in 75%.
Google AI Mode works differently. In 83% of its 6 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings
For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?
Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.
We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

How we got these numbers
The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 30 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between October 9 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Oldsmar or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.
The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
