The questions covered 41 specific jobs. The most asked here, each with its own post:

The question underneath all of them

“Which electrician near me in Seminole is licensed, local and willing to take my job?” Answers favored electricians they could place in Seminole and told customers to check the license, the permit route and the minimum charge.

What your Seminole electrical page has to explain

Many Seminole questions were small jobs: a ceiling fan, a dimmer, a smoke detector, a pendant light. Assistants often found an electrician whose page talked about panels and rewiring but not the job asked for. They told customers to ask whether the company takes small jobs and what its minimum charge is. A Seminole electrical page should list the small jobs as well as the large ones.

Permits came up often, and answers did not always agree on who issues them. Some said Seminole addresses go through Pinellas County, some named the City of Seminole’s building division, and one said the ZIP code holds both city and county areas. They told customers to ask the electrician. A page can settle it by saying the electrician pulls the permit for either one.

Insurance came up in a different way for electrical work. Some answers said older homes in the area may have aluminum wiring or Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels, and that insurers ask about them. They told customers to ask for papers an insurer would accept. Other answers mentioned the City of Seminole’s fire rescue program, which installs smoke alarms for residents.

What the assistants couldn’t find

In 242 of the 1,534 answers, the assistant said it couldn’t find or confirm something it needed about a company. By assistant: Claude in 232 of its 531, ChatGPT in 9 of its 633 and Google AI Mode in 1 of its 370. As we asked it, Claude usually says what it couldn’t confirm; ChatGPT and Google AI Mode seldom do, so these counts mostly show what Claude couldn’t find. Most often:

  • A phone number or other way to reach the company: 131 answers
  • Reviews it could check: 71 answers
  • A license or insurance it could check: 44 answers
  • Whether the company serves the customer’s town or ZIP code: 33 answers
  • When the company could do the work: 21 answers
  • A price or how the job is priced: 18 answers

Compared with the larger towns: Claude said it couldn’t confirm something in 232 of its 531 answers about Seminole (44%), and couldn’t confirm that any company served Seminole in 33 (6%). In the eight largest towns we studied, those figures were 40% and 5% for electrical.

As in the other large towns researched, Seminole electrical answers most often lacked a phone number, then reviews and the license. A page with one working number, a visible license number and links to reviews covers those gaps.

I didn't find a phone number in the results, so use the contact form on their site.

— Claude, asked “Looking for someone to do ceiling fan repair in Seminole, FL 33772 in two weeks. Any recommendations?”, September 19, 2026

Where the assistants sent people

Each answer linked to the pages the assistant relied on. Of the 1,164 ChatGPT and Claude answers about electrical work in Seminole, FL, this is how many linked at least once to each kind of site:

  • A contractor’s own website: 96% (1,118 answers)
  • A directory or review site such as Yelp, Angi or the BBB: 57% (668 answers)
  • An official license lookup: 13% (147 answers)
  • A manufacturer or home-improvement guide: 4% (46 answers)
  • A Google search or Maps page: 1% (15 answers)

A contractor’s own website was the page linked most often, so your site is usually what the customer is sent to read.

Google AI Mode works differently. In 75% of its 370 answers, the links opened Google’s own listing for a business rather than a website. There, your Google Business Profile is the page the customer sees, so it needs the same facts as your site.

Going further: let assistants see real openings

For an urgent job, “open now” doesn’t answer the customer’s real question: can the right technician get to this address within the next few hours?

Merchant Context builds custom integrations with scheduling software so customers and AI assistants can read your current availability. Where your system records the job type, service area, duration and crew capacity, the integration can show those details with each opening, so an assistant can match it to the request instead of guessing.

We scope each connection to the software and data you actually have. A displayed opening is not a confirmed booking: the customer still confirms through your normal booking process, and the information is only useful while it is fresh.

Questions owners ask

Should a Seminole electrician list small jobs on its page?

Yes, if you take them. Many Seminole questions were for one fan, a dimmer or a smoke detector. Assistants often found electricians whose pages mentioned only panels and rewiring, and told customers to ask whether they take small jobs. Listing them, with your minimum charge, answers that.

Who issues electrical permits for a Seminole, FL address?

The answers did not agree. Some said Pinellas County, some named the City of Seminole’s building division, and some said it depends on the address. They told customers to ask the electrician. Your page can say you pull the permit with whichever office covers the job.

Do Seminole customers ask about Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels?

Yes, when that is work you do. Answers about Seminole panel work often named these panels and aluminum wiring, and told customers to ask whether the electrician handles them. Some said insurers ask about them, so describe the papers you give the customer afterward.

Which AI assistants did you test?

ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode. Between September 2 and October 14, 2026, they answered 1,534 questions about electrical work in Seminole, FL: ChatGPT 633, Claude 531, Google AI Mode 370.

Will these changes guarantee a recommendation?

No. Nobody can promise that. These changes supply what the assistants were looking for in our research. Whether they move recommendations for your business is something to measure after they go live.

How we got these numbers

The questions, counts and quotes on this page come from the 1,534 answers ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode gave between September 2 and October 14, 2026. Every question named Seminole or one of its ZIP codes. We collected them with software rather than the consumer apps, which can answer differently. We counted what each answer mentioned, what it said it couldn’t find and where it linked. Quotes never name a business.

The study figures come from an earlier set of assistant conversations in July and August 2026 across eight trades, coded for the reason each business was included or left out. Counts overlap and are never added together.
